Tool access
See at a glance which groups may use which tool.
The Tool access page answers the question “Who may use which tool?”. For each tool, it shows which groups it is assigned to. You cannot change anything here; tools are assigned on the Groups page.
For each tool you see:
- Assigned or Off: whether at least one group has the tool.
- the LOKI groups and Microsoft groups that have it.
- for SharePoint, the note automatic for Microsoft users and how many people have received it through their Microsoft sign-in.
| Note | Meaning |
|---|---|
| “Not assigned to any group yet, so nobody can use it.” | Nobody can use the tool. Assign it to a group if it is needed. |
| “Not assigned to any Microsoft group yet — only Microsoft groups can hold this tool.” | The tool belongs to Microsoft 365 and can only be given to Microsoft groups. The link leads to Groups › Microsoft groups. |
| “… grants belong to Entra groups that no longer exist” | A Microsoft group was deleted in Microsoft. The next sync removes the grant automatically. |
There is no tool that automatically applies to everyone. Administrator accounts never get any tools in the chat.
What does a particular person have?
Which tools an individual person can use, and through which group, is shown on the detail page of their account in the Access tab (see Users).
