Release notes
LOKI 0.3.0
This release connects SharePoint by certificate and reads a site's permissions instead of guessing them from group names; large libraries index visibly in stages, and chat attachments expire after a retention period. Please note: administrators now see only the documents they have been granted in chat.
Changes
- SharePoint authenticates by certificate: certificate and private key are entered in one field, the thumbprint is computed rather than typed in, a failed renewal leaves the existing certificate in place, and an upcoming expiry is reported in the dashboard instead of passing silently
- A site's permissions are read rather than guessed from group names: a group such as “Projektmitglieder Extern” no longer accidentally opens the whole department behind it, and a group without a matching keyword in its name no longer makes its files unfindable for everyone
- A large library is listed in full first and then worked through in stages; the source overview shows progress meanwhile instead of “Never”, and the waiting files do not flood the document list
- A run reports how many files end up with nobody who can find them. The dashboard shows this only when there is something to do, and names the cause and the consequence rather than just a number
- A single blocker or a group with no members no longer counts as several failed attempts, and a successful run clears the failed attempts before it
- An interrupted synchronisation blocks its source for one hour rather than six
- An abandoned first indexing run can be picked up again on purpose
- Administrators no longer bypass permissions in chat: they see the same documents and figures as everyone else. Document management in the dashboard is unaffected, and an administrator without groups now gets the notice about it instead of an empty chat
- Chat attachments and screenshots from ratings are removed after 90 days rather than filling the database for good. The attachment stays visible with its name and type and names the retention period as the reason
- An answer without a citation no longer shows a source list, and a source cited only inside the reasoning block is not listed as evidence
- A presentation containing an unreadable drawing is indexed again: the image loses its caption, not the whole file
- Appliance: the links between chat and dashboard are set at startup rather than at build time, so one image links correctly under every customer's own hostname
- Appliance: an installation with several compose files can be updated again, and an older version of the update software cannot bring that state back
